Coalition for Environmentally Safe Communities
Campaign to Reduce Lead Exposure and Asthma
About us: Taking action on health and environmental health disparities
The NAACP, DC Asthma Coalition, and over 30 organizations have united to launch two critical campaigns in Washington D.C. The first aims to reduce lead exposure and support children with asthma in Wards 5, 7, and 8 by advocating for government action. The second provides Healthier Homes Guidelines to educate residents on identifying and minimizing household asthma triggers. Both initiatives strive to create a safer, healthier environment for all D.C. residents, especially those living with asthma, by promoting collaboration, education, and practical solutions to improve housing conditions and reduce health disparities.
